(Doris' Pov)
I picked up the phone from the table and answered the first elder's call.
"Hello, Doris." He greeted me immediately.
"Hello to you too, old one."
"Let me just go straight to the reason for my call. I discovered that I have not informed you yet about the banquet, so I called to invite you to your installation dinner."
"It's my pleasure, so I'll be there. Thank you for the invite." I warmly appreciate it. I quickly glanced at Eliana, and a thought came into my mind. "Hold on for a little moment, old one. Don't hang up." Without hanging up, I dropped my phone on the table and stared at Eliana.
"Repeat all that you just said to me, Eliana," I ordered her with a glare.
Eliana and her father looked nervous as they kept staring at each other since the call came in. They murmured a little……
