“What do you mean I didn’t give you the full research? That’s all I found!” my dad protests as I call him. I let out a long breath, on the verge of rolling my eyes. But I don’t. It’s probably not his fault anyway.
“Yeah, I realize that. But I’m telling you, it’s not complete. I need those last few pages, to figure out how she gained control over them. If she managed to do that, the equation for killing them can’t differ that much,” I explain, hoping that the gets where I’m coming from.
I can hear him let out a sharp breath, making me realize that I might be in for an earful. “Do you have the research open right now?” he asks, and I pause.
“Er … Yeah,” I answer. Well, technically, it’s glued to a wall, but who cares about the details. He clearly doesn’t, because he already has another quest……
