***Kayla's POV***

I know I told Cassandra to use her newly given power in case that mutt tries to put his hands on her again, but it sure didn't last long. 

I could feel her exerting all the power of the Sun's core that her body could handle.

It was a strange feeling like I could feel someone else's life through me. 

For a second, I wondered if this is how Nferiaea feels when we connect to Infinity.

But I didn't have time to think about it.

Rage suddenly took over me and I got up and took the few steps I needed to reach the center of the Altar. 

The Stars followed me without question. 

The others, on the other hand, had puzzled looks on their faces. 

But I couldn't stick around to explain. 

I knew it was just before sunset.
