Luca smiled. “I’m proud of you, Angel, let’s celebrate.”
“Sure.”
He smiled and we left the restaurant to be picked up by a stretch limo wow. “Come on cara the night is young.”
I smiled, slipping in he sat next to me closing the door and the car pulled away. “I’d like to get to know you Angel, all about you and why such a beautiful young lady is already married.”
I flushed he knew how to mix his words well if only Elijah were like him I would have fell for him but he is as cold as ice with no feelings whatsoever.
“Maybe one day, once I get to know you.”
“I understand cara we’ve only just met, yet I feel drawn to you. I’ll tell you everything about me when the time is right I don’t want to scare you away, not just yet anyway.”
I smiled why the hell did he mean by that?
We pulled up outside the club. The door opened and he slid out holding his hand out. “Come on cara.”
I slid my hand in his and he gripped onto it tightly, pulling me out and the driver closed the door and nodded.
He led me away, my hand still in his, the bouncers nodded and let us pass without even having to wait. Who was this guy?
We walked through in the dim lit corridors up to the VIP section, the bouncer nodded allowing us pass, this guy must know some really rich people. I’ve never been in the VIP before we walked in the atmosphere up here was totally different than down there were no sweaty bodies jut high large scary guys with tattoos and girls hanging on their shoulders. A few greeted Luca and he introduced me and we got drinks. I felt so out of place up here. He didn’t though and I don’t think he noticed how insecure I was as he spoke in fluent Italian to the males in the room. After many drinks I felt relaxed and a little drunk.
“Let’s dance cara.”
I nodded
He took my hand and pulled me to my feet. I felt like jelly but ignored it. I lost count after five or was it six.
He held me close to him dancing his breath tickling my neck. “I want you cara. The ring means nothing to me, all I ask from you is to be honest and I’ll do anything in my power to break you free and make you mine.” He said, plating soft kisses on my neck, sending shivers through my body and goosebumps too. Who was this man? I guess I would find out soon enough.
One word would end if you ever heard
I’d taken a law and business degree at university to make sure I knew everything before I took him on suck s**t Mr. Elijah Rivera this is the end of our contract. It will be terminated once you agree to our divorce. I have been saving my money from my part time job but I needed more to pay him back for digging me out of the hole I would’ve been in if he hadn’t helped me out but it came with a price one I wasn’t willing to pay anymore. I’d made some great friends at university one had Luca Romero. He had an Italian background and I had been working in his parents' restaurant since I had begun classes. We'd bumped into one another the first day I began Uni and we’d been friends ever since. He’d told me to follow my dreams and I was going to do that once Uni was over. He’d also told me my happiness mattered and if I was unhappy to put behind all the unhappiness in my life and begin again and that’s when I realised I'd never been truly happy since I’d signed that ridiculous contract and become Elijah Riviera’s wife. It was time for change so when these four years were up I was going to divorce his sorry ass and move on and finally be happy.
Luca had stood out the most, everyone seemed to be scared of him, but why? Would he be an ally or a deceiver like all of the others. Everyone here seems to know of Elijah Rivera and wouldn’t do anything against that arrogant asshole. They all seem to look up to him for some unknown reason. I’d been warned to stay away from Luca but why was beyond me, he was the first to introduce himself and be polite to me, even take me under his wing, he was a pure gentleman, unlike Elijah. But the things he said were a little worrying. I'm not sure if he noticed I had heard him or not. He was a dark horsey hat everyone in Uni seems to be scared of. but me. He was a sweetheart that I’m sure was after more than just being friends but right now I wasn’t interested in all of that Ijust wanted to continue with my studies and have friends I could at least rely on. I’m not sure I could rely on any here, but Luca he seemed different, unaffected but Elijah but I just couldn’t figure out why. Me and Luca were really close. I'd agreed to see him whilst I was at the same Camus as him, what Elijah didn’t know wouldn’t hurt him right?
I hadn’t seen or spoken to Elijah after he came to see me at Christmas and refused to return, telling him I had way too much work to do and he believed me so he came down to visit me and we spent Christmas here in the apartment he had given me. Luca had gone to italy to visit his family and I had told him Elijah was coming to visit so he’d agreed to stay away, but when he returned he demanded that I told him everything about Elijah, not wanting to make a scene I had, he was furious and he had promised me that he would get me out of this marriage if it was the last thing he’d do.
He had decided that we were to be a couple whilst we were in uni so no one questioned why I was spending time with him as he was the richest guy here he had more money than Elijah, but I didn’t care. He was my friend, so I agreed. The Dean also knew of our arrangement but said nothing. I had a feeling he and Elijah weren’t as close,as he had made it out or be. I’d also been put on a fashion and design course after I had shown him my designs. I was quite happy with the way things were going. Elijah on the other hand wasn’t too pleased with my choices I had made without his input and he didn’t agree with my choice of a second course but he had no say on it as the Dean had put me forward for it anyway. Now I was sitting in the restaurant with Luca fratranisng over my future.
I sat nervously and had to figure a way out of this marriage and get divorced before Elijah made me lose everything.
“Are you okay princess?”
“I’m scared Luca.”
He pulled me into a hug. “There’s no need to be scared you have me.”
“But Elijah.”
“I’m Mafia, princess I can get anything and that piece of s**t won’t ever stop me.”
“But he will try and stop you from hiring me.”
“I already hired you, princess.”
“He told me if I ever tried to divorce him he’d make sure I’d never get a job.”
“But you have one.”
“And I can easily lose it because of him.”
He placed his hand in my chin lifting it. “He can’t do s**t princess. I am the mafia and I own you now he will soon find that out.”
He leaned forward pressing his lips on mine kissing me passionately with tongue.
He moved away. “Now no more thinking what he thinks he is capable of when I am capable of so much more. He won’t know what’s hit him princess.”
Why did I ever agree to starting a relationship with this guy he’s worse than Elijah?
