Background:
Many decades ago things in the supernatural world were a lot different to how they are today, for one thing the mate bond did not exist nor were deities untouchable as they had more of a physical presence back then. While they were still really powerful and impossible to kill, they roamed the earth rather than residing in their realms. And the reason why they ended up leaving the mortal realm behind is one of tragedy.
Selene is the moon goddess, but she once lived on Earth wanting to be close to humanity and all living things. While her main charge was to maintain peace within the werewolf communities, she was also tasked with making sure that the balance was kept between the supernatural and the natural worlds.
