Derricks POV
“Joshua is such a sweet guy!” I hear Amelia telling my Beta Jackson as I walk towards the small group, which also includes Leo and Alpha Craig. I have to wonder if this Joshua she mentions is now another werewolf vying for her affection.
“Joshua?” I inquire as I step right next to Amelia’s side. I see Jackson giving her a hard look, like he is angry with her. Very strange. Jackson is usually a pretty easy going guy, unless he considers something or someone to be a threat.
Then Amelia is changing the subject and asking about Alpha Jerome, but I won’t be deterred. “Who is Joshua?”
Then Amelia hands her empty champagne flute to Leo. She then places her hands on my shoulders, and is looking deep into my eyes, asking me if she had thanked me for saving her.
“Umm…no…”
“Not yo……
