“Aren’t we waiting for your… friend?” He smiles. “She’s already here.” I follow him into the dining room, glancing at the photos on the wall as we walk. He hasn’t changed any of them since Mom died. Not a single one. The walls have been repainted a few times, but the photos have remained. “Remember, Em,” he turns to me before pushing the door open. “She makes me happy.” I smile and laugh awkwardly. “How bad can it be?” Bad, I realize as soon as I step into the dining room. It’s been redone- a gaudy dark green with dark mahogany wood. My dad never would have done this. It looks awful, but it’s not nearly as bad as who I find seated at the table in a matching green dress. It’s the same shade as her homecoming dress our freshman year. “Ava?” I say, my voice shaky and giving away my anger, but I don’t care. “Ava f*****g Johnston?” She looks up at me, her fake blond hair cascading beside her face. I turn to look at my dad as fury rises. “I didn’t recognize her when we first met,” he tells me gently, trying to calm me. “We met at the gym and went out for coffee.” I turn back to her, and she smiles awkwardly as she still sits at the dining room table like she belongs here. In my mother’s seat. My heart is pounding, and my breathing is shaky. “She bullied me,” I say to my dad, trying not to cry. “She was horrible. Do you not remember how many times you had to dry my tears because of her? I had to change schools because of her!” “She’s not who she was then,” he tells me gently. “She makes me happy.” I leave, seething in anger. That’s just fine, Ava. F**k my daddy, and I’ll f**k yours. -------------------------------- In her anger, Emmy creates a mess, and she's not sure it's one she can get out of without hurting everyone involved. **Since this story features longer chapters, it updates three times a week. They'll be available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 5AM EST.**

It starts again. It’s a feeling I’ve felt for a year or so now, and it comes and goes, though it has been happening more often. It’s almost a pain but more of an overwhelming sense of dread. I take a deep breath and exhale slowly, and then another. There is nothing wrong. There is nothing to worry about. Is it happening again because I have to meet another pack tomorrow? “If you’re trying to suppress your aura, you’re doing the exact opposite,” Peter says from behind me. This is the worst it has ever been, though, and I sit straight up, clutching at my chest as I take deep, heaving breaths. “Calvin?” Peter asks me, concerned. He eyes me cautiously, taking my hand in his. He doesn’t say anything as he squeezes it. Finally, it passes, and I take a few more breaths. “Gus said it happened because I get nervous. It started around a year ago.” Peter shakes his head. “A year? So, while you were still in the bubble?” “Yeah,” I say awkwardly. “Sorry. I can’t control my Aura now. My wolf tries to help me through them.” He nods. “He feels helpless?” “Yes,” I say, surprised that he realized it. “It’s like I’m expecting pain, but it never comes.” “Do you ever have dreams about it?” he asks. I think hard about his question. “Sometimes I wake up because of it, but I don’t remember any dreams.” “I don’t think this happens because you’re nervous,” he tells me, and he’s so cautious about it. “What is it, then?” “I think you can feel your mate,” he tells me gently. “I think she’s scared or hurt.” ------------------------------ This is the fourth book in the Broken series but it can stand alone. Calvin hunts through the kingdom, searching for his missing mate. Follow along as he learns who he truly is while finding his Goddess-given mate. *Trigger Warnings for kidnapping and abuse

"I’m not even a real wolf. I saw you in the window and thought my family would have told you. I… I’m so sorry.” I say as my chest begins to hurt and I can barely breathe. “You are a real wolf, though. It’s in your scent. My wolf is sure of it.” “I’m not, though. I don’t have a wolf. I’ve never shifted, I’m not built as muscular. If anything happens to me, I can’t save myself. I’ll just be a huge liability.” “No” he snaps at me and I can see a flash of anger in his eyes. “You are NOT a liability. You’re my mate. The Goddess made you for me.” “The Goddess didn’t make me for anyone, Seth. No one wants me.” I say as my voice begins to waiver. This isn’t going how I thought. I never dreamed I’d have to convince my mate I wasn’t good enough. But this man just keeps surprising me as he grabs me and pulls me onto his lap. “There are people who DO want you, Molly. I want you. Your parents adopted you- they wanted you. Your brother always wanted you. He never stopped talking about you during training. You’re different Molly, but that doesn’t mean you’re not enough and that you’re not wanted.” he tells me as he just holds me on his lap. "I want you."

"Anders comes over and offers me his arm. It’s an odd thing for him to do, but I take it and let him lead me away. We’re just outside the village when I can’t ignore the ache inside me any longer. I want this man. I NEED this man. Releasing his arm, I step in front of him and throw my arms around his neck. I kiss him with everything that I have, the metallic taste of blood now on my lips, but I can’t be bothered to care. I move my hands down and tug at his belt, trying my best to untie it. “Ellie,” he says breathlessly, but he doesn’t move his hands from my hips. “We’re on a path. I’m covered in blood.” “I need you,” I tell him desperately, looking up into his eyes, which have returned to their normal blue. “You aren’t scared of me?” His question makes me pause. He seems so vulnerable, and it makes my heart hurt. I love this man so much. “Not at all,” I tell him, reaching up to cup his face. “You love me so well.” “No one will ever hurt you,” he tells me seriously, pulling me closer to him. “I won’t allow it.” “I know.” He leans down to kiss me as my hands move to his hair, holding him against me. He breaks the kiss, only to look around, and pulls me toward the woods. Once out of sight, he lifts me and pins me against a tree, assaulting my lips as I wrap my legs around him. “I thought you would leave me when you saw who I truly am,” he says, his lips leaving a trail of kisses down my neck that light my skin on fire. “I could never leave you. You’re part of me.” --------- Kidnapped by Vikings, Eleanor falls in love with her protector, who has a large secret. How will she feel when she learns that he is a werewolf?
