"I’m not even a real wolf. I saw you in the window and thought my family would have told you. I… I’m so sorry.” I say as my chest begins to hurt and I can barely breathe. “You are a real wolf, though. It’s in your scent. My wolf is sure of it.” “I’m not, though. I don’t have a wolf. I’ve never shifted, I’m not built as muscular. If anything happens to me, I can’t save myself. I’ll just be a huge liability.” “No” he snaps at me and I can see a flash of anger in his eyes. “You are NOT a liability. You’re my mate. The Goddess made you for me.” “The Goddess didn’t make me for anyone, Seth. No one wants me.” I say as my voice begins to waiver. This isn’t going how I thought. I never dreamed I’d have to convince my mate I wasn’t good enough. But this man just keeps surprising me as he grabs me and pulls me onto his lap. “There are people who DO want you, Molly. I want you. Your parents adopted you- they wanted you. Your brother always wanted you. He never stopped talking about you during training. You’re different Molly, but that doesn’t mean you’re not enough and that you’re not wanted.” he tells me as he just holds me on his lap. "I want you."
“Relax,” he tells me. “I’m never letting you go.” I nod, but I still feel a little scared and wrap my arms around his neck to help hold myself up. We stay like that, enjoying the closeness between us and the cool water on our skin. “Celeste,” he says, looking around us to make sure no one will hear. “I still don’t want to tell the pack that you’ve already shifted.” “I thought you said it would be alright once I started training.” “I did, but the more I think about it, the more I worry about the danger it could bring. I just want to keep you as safe as I can.” I sigh, feeling disappointed. “People think that you’re just using me. Keeping me around to breed.” “People can think what they want, as long as it keeps you safe.” “You holding me in the water isn’t going to help the rumors, you know.” He nods, but he doesn’t say anything for a moment as he leans forward, placing his head on my shoulder and breathes in my scent. “What if you are my second chance mate?” he asks, and I’m shocked to hear him say it. “What if you just can’t smell that I’m your mate until the moon at your 18th birthday?” “And what if you’re not?” It's a thought that has, and will probably continue to weigh heavily on my mind. He sighs, lifting his head to look into my eyes and pulling me completely against him. “I’m becoming very fond of you, Celeste. I tried not to, truly, but it's impossible. You're too delightful to be around.” “I’m very fond of you, too, David,” I whisper, afraid of my own words. “Do you think it’s possible that you’re really my mate? Willow thinks I should be able to scent my mate now, even though I'm not of age.” “I don’t know, but I find myself hoping more and more each day that we are,” he says softly to me, causing butterflies to form in my stomach. ----------- After her family is murdered, Celeste is forced to flee to another pack for safety. The new Alpha finds himself in need of a Luna and Celeste steps into the role. Though they attempt to resist, the bond between Alpha and Luna pulls them together, leaving them hopeful that they will find each other as mates on her 18th birthday as they slowly fall in love. Will a mate appear? And if he does, will she choose her true mate instead of the man she loves?
Nunca he cambiado de forma, no estoy tan musculosa. Si algo me sucede, no puedo salvarme a mí misma. Nadie me quiere— digo mientras mi voz comienza a temblar.
Nunca me transformei, não sou musculosa. Ninguém me quer", digo enquanto minha voz começa a vacilar.
As I crack the door I can see a very pregnant Molly sitting in the floor with them, handing them toys and smiling. Andrew is holding a toy rattle that he’s shaking around, a giant smile on his face as Cora tries to place a triangle shaped block into a hole on a box. I try to be as quiet as possible as I sneak in, closing the door softly behind me, but my favorite girl spots me. “Dada!” Cora exclaims, tossing her toy aside and crawling over to me. I reach down and lift her into my arms, walking over to sit in the floor next to my mate. I place Cora on one leg and reach over, lifting Andrew and placing him on my other leg. I wrap my arms around them and pull them tight to my chest, inhaling their scents. My grandmother is right, I’m going to screw it all up. I just hope they can forgive me for any mistakes. -------------------------- A sequel to "The Broken Wolf". Follow Molly and Seth in an action packed adventure through parenthood and their roles leading the Kingdom.
"He moves to sit next to me on the ground, reaching into his bag and holding out a piece of salted meat to me. “Thank you,” I tell him softly and he wrinkles his forehead, but smiles a comforting smile. He reaches his hand up to his chest. “Anders.” Reaching out, he places his hand on my chest, a questioning look on his face. “Eleanor,” I say softly. “El-nor,” he says, trying to pronounce it correctly as he reaches his hand up and twists one of my curls around a finger. “El-a-nor,” I say again, trying to emphasize the syllable that he’s missing. “El-nor,” he says again, a look of frustration on his face, like he just CAN’T say it right. I smile at him. It’s so nice that he’s trying. I take his hand and place it on my chest as he just had when he asked my name. “Ellie.” “Ellie,” he says, returning my smile." ---------------------------- Kidnapped by Vikings, Eleanor must make the best of her situation and learn how to survive in a new world. While things are tough, finding love makes her new life easier. But is love enough to overcome that finding the man you love is a werewolf?
