It had been almost a month since the incident and Aubrey’s parents had come home to meet the girl who had stolen their little boy's heart. She was tired to get out of it, she’d tried to tell him that they were over but he wasn’t listening.
His parents had approved of their relationship and had met her parents o as well and they all got on swimmingly. Layla felt faint and exhausted her head was pounding she’d excused herself to use the bathroom where she collapsed.
She’d slowly come around realising that she was in a hospital bed with bleeping machines all around her. Aubrey was sleeping, her father had bags under his eyes he looked like he hadn’t slept for weeks his beard was long and uneven he looked as if he hadn’t shaved for months.
“Dad.” She said dryly her throat felt like sandpaper.
