Chapter Seven

Hello, my little darklings! I hope each of you are having the best day. I wanted to jump in to let you guys know a bit about Bernard (Berny). He is a Daemon, not a Demon. Dæmons are the external physical manifestation of a person's "inner-self" that takes the form of an animal or person. Dæmons have human intelligence, are capable of human speech—regardless of the state they take—and usually behave as though they are independent of their humans. In this story, Berny will act as Rowan's guide in safety and growth, and I think he's a pretty cool dude.
