Chapter twenty Five

Jolting awake I felt the car slowing down, the sun was glaring through the front windscreen making me screw up my eyes against its harsh rays.

‘Welcome back sleepy head’ Lily said with a laugh as I turned toward her. Wiping my face with my hands, I looked around us to see we had followed a farm track and had pulled off behind some hedges in a disused field.

Clambering out of the car, I looked at Lily for direction, pulling out a piece of paper, she checked the printed words before pointing northwards.

‘How do you know where they are?’ I asked surprised.

‘looked up the nearest blue lake online before I came to pick you up’ Lily answered with a shrug.
