I stared at Rowan, who stood with his phone by the entrance of the office. I was shocked to see him and everyone else here too, since he hardly came to this part of the company, unless of course for official duites.
“Mr. King, do you need something, sir?!” Mrs. Grace, my supervisor, said this to him, but he didn’t turn his attention to her. His eyes were dead set on me with a smile that had my heart beating.
“Don’t worry, I’ve seen what I came for,” he replied to her as he walked into the department and headed right for the desk. I tried to look anywhere else; maybe he would pass by me, but he stopped directly in front of my desk. s**t.
He stretched his hands out to take mine in his and dragged me up from my seat. “I just need to borrow one of your staff,” he called, showing our hands to……
