Standardbreds are a great breed and get overlooked all the time. Harness racing and pulling Amish buggies are not their only uses; people also use Standardbreds for trail riding, jumping, and ranch work. I have a Standardbred gelding and he is the sweetest boy! I got him from a rescue and they have many excellent horses there that they pull from the kill pen and auction.
