I gather my things and head out of Kir's room, feeling grateful that I have him in my life. Truly, he’s the best friend I ever had. And he wasn’t that old … Well, no. I’m not going to think about that. As I walk down the hallway, I feel a little better about everything.
I have to think a little to realize where I’m supposed to be headed. When I finally figure it out, I let out a small groan. Damn. My first period is advanced fortune telling. What better way to ruin a Monday morning.
As I walk into the classroom, all eyes land on me. Including Mr. Bloom’s. He eyes me over his big glasses, making me squeal: “I’m sorry I’m late, I was with-”
“Yes, I know where you were, Miss Pierce. Take a seat and stop interrupting my class,” the man cuts me off, clearly unimpressed with everything I was ……
