Glossary: A kingdom is ruled by a king/queen. An empire is ruled by an emperor/empress. An empire also has several vassal states/kingdoms which are ruled by kings/queens. Noble classes (from the highest authority to the lowest): 1. Duke --> usually given to people who still have blood ties to the royal family. They can have military power and rule over several other nobles. The female partner is Duchess. 2. Marquis/Marquess --> might also have military power, but has smaller authority than Duke. The female partner is Marchioness. 3. Count --> rule over one territory. The female partner is Countess. They answer directly to a Marquis or Duke. 4. Viscount --> has smaller territory than a Count and answer to a count. The female partner is Viscountess. 5. Baron --> has the smallest territory and answer to a Viscount. The female partner is Baroness. A Baron rule over several civilians. I have actually made a map fo
