Take her away

The door to my room is kicked open and two warriors enter.

" What the hell do you think you are doing? " I ask but they ignore me, walking towards where I am seated.

" What do you want?" Their actions alarm me and I ask,my eyes trained on them. Without much as a reply, they grab both my hands, dragging me up and out of the room.

" You can't do this to me. I am your Luna!" I protest, trying to shake myself free from their hold.

" Your presence has been requested." Is all the man on my right says.

" By whom? " I ask, confused. Then my mind rings to Megan's threat yesterday. Could she have made a move already?

" Our Alpha." The other says.

" Do you have to be so rough? I can walk on my own." I protest even when my insides scream danger.

" The alpha ordered us to deliver you to him. It doesn't matter if we have to drag you there." The first one says and I am led further down the hall, my mind reeling with the possibilities. Could this be about what happened last night? Did Callum find out that I am the one who spent the night with him? But it's not like I forced myself on him. If anything,I am the one who was wronged.

After what seems like forever,we stop in front of a door. The second warrior knocks and a gruff voice orders for us to come in. The warriors drag me into the room, throwing me in the middle of the room. I stumble a little before I regain my balance. After taking a moment to recover my senses,my eyes scan the room. Slowly,I take in the people present.

A raging Alpha Callum captures my attention first. Then my father's angry face and a smirking Meghan.

" You called for me, alpha." I say, making eye contact with Callum. He looks angry and I can't help but wonder what the hell is going on.

" Tell me, did you sleep with anyone last night? " he growls, his eyes flashing.

" Excuse me? " I ask, looking at him incredulously. What is wrong with this wolf?

" I will only ask you one more time, did you sleep with anyone?" He yells. I can see the burning anger on his face.

I turn to look at Gavin,seeking an explanation of what is going on. The look on Callum's face tells me that he thinks I slept with another person and not him. Gavin shakes his head, seemingly as confused as I am.

I swallow hard,not knowing what answer to give. If he thinks I slept with someone else, won't admitting it land me into serious s**t.

" How can you be so shameless? First, you poisoned me so that you can replace me and marry Alpha Callum. Instead of being grateful,you come to sleep around with other men just like you did back at home." Megan's voice resonates in the room,her words piercing and corrosive yet she wears an aggrieved look on her face.

Wait a minute? What poisoning? What sleeping around? Didn't father force me to take my sister's place because he thought I was a Virgin, something his precious daughter wasn't?

" How dare you embarrass us and taint our family name?" My father barks,disdain coated in his words and reflected on his face.

Faced by so many allegations,I don't know which one to defend myself first. All I know is that someone set a trap for me and I fell straight into it. In other words,I am doomed.

I turn to look at Callum who is glaring daggers at me.

" Plotting against your sister, lying to an alpha and tarnishing the name of this pack by sleeping around,what punishment should I give you, Paige?" Alpha Callum roars,my name coming out sarcastically.

" I didn't sleep around." I say,looking at him,trying to gauge his reaction. Why is he behaving like he doesn't remember what happened last night? Then again,he wasn't even himself throughout the action, mistaking me for his loved one.

" Liar!" Meghan yells and walks towards me. She yanks my dress,exposing my collarbones.

" Since you didn't sleep around, how do you explain this?" She inquires, pointing at the hickeys and the mark on my neck. I almost forgot that Callum sunk his fangs on my neck. Although it can't be considered a mating mark,it is however a temporary mark,a sign of his dominance.

" I...It's not what you think." I say,my hands reaching up to cover the marks.

" Shut up!" Callum snarls,his eyes flickering red. His wolf is pushing to take over but he restrains him.

" The evidence is already clear. There is no need to try and defend yourself. What I don't understand is how you could do such a thing to your own sister. Don't you have any conscience? She is your blood." My father righteously condemns me. I look at her with disbelief on my face. Even in a situation like this,he dares haul the blame on me? He clearly forced me to take Megan's place even when I vividly refused. Now,he has the guts to accompany his favourite daughter and accuse me, playing the victim? Was this their goal all along? Throw me under the bus and get rid of me?

Tears prick my eyes as I look at him,his face cold and emotionless.

" How can you do this to me father? Am I not your daughter too?" I ask the question I have always wanted to ask. Growing up, Megan was favoured and I was always treated like the family outcast.

" I don't have a daughter like you." My father snarls , his face morphing into a scowl. I burst out bitterly. Right,how can he have a weak and wolf less daughter like me when his favourite is everything good. She is beautiful and has a strong wolf. I am the family disgrace while Megan is the pride of the pack at large.

" Very good. Since you don't have a daughter like me,I don't want a father like you either." I declare,keeping my eyes locked to him. A look of surprise flashes his orbs before they are replaced by sheer anger.

" How dare you!" He thunders and I give him a smile.

" When someone is pushed to a road of no return, there's nothing they can't dare. I am already in hell,why should I care anymore about people who don't see me as anything worthy of their affection."

" That's enough!" Callum yells, silencing everyone.

" We have heard enough from you, Paige. There's no need for more explanations." He continues.

" After everything you have been accused of, you deserve to be punished and you will be punished. Megan will remain here and take back the position you took from her. She will be crowned Luna in a month's time since she already spent the night with me last night. She deserves to be Luna." Alpha Callum declares and my eyes widen with shock. Megan spent the night with Alpha Callum? Is this another scheme?

"As for you,you will remain in the dungeons, receiving daily punishment until I am satisfied." Alpha Callum declares and my heart clenches.

Megan has a smile on her face while my father looks satisfied. I don't object. What's the use of objecting or even explaining? No one will listen to me and if they listen, they won't believe it.

" Yes, Alpha." I accept his punishment. Callum seems taken aback by my response,as if he didn't expect it.

" You don't object or have anything to say?" He asks after schooling his emotions.

" No, Alpha."

" Good. Guards!" Alpha Callum calls, " take her away." He orders.
