Chapter Twenty–eight. The truth
Ivanna's POV
"My king. Mary didn’t kill Luna Eleanor. She wasn’t anywhere close to Luna Eleanor the day she died. Please, spare her,” I pleaded.
Mary might be wicked and probably deserved to be killed, but I didn't want her to be wrongly accused of a crime she didn't commit. I didn't want her to become June's sacrificial lamb.
"I’m sorry, my king," Mary cried. "I didn't mean to do it."
Do what? What was she talking about? No way! Was she the —?
"I killed Luna Eleanor!" She confessed.
What?!
"It was you?!" I gasped, drenched in shock.
"Yes," she replied. I fell on the floor. My eyes were almost popping from their sockets. And my hands clamped my mouth.
