DUNCAN
I followed Elsie through what can only be described as a catacomb. We had been walking for about twenty minutes and I swear I can smell the sea.
We passed room after room cut into the rock. There seemed to be little libraries, but Elsie was walking too fast for me to get a proper look.
"Here we are, we can rest now." She leads us into a large room, and lights several lamps, allowing me to get a good look at the place. In an alcove to the left is a bed, with a bright comforter and several pillows.
On the floor are a few thin rugs and large cushions, placed in front of what looks like a fireplace. There is a door next to the fireplace. Elsie had just walked through it and returned with her arms filled with wood and kindling.
"Duncan, could you light the fire? I will go and get some ……
