I gasped as I woke up forcefully, my head jerking about to be sure of my surroundings.
I had been jumpy since we got back here, maybe it was because I was expecting something bad to happen.
I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath when I realized where I was. I was back at my school apartment, safe and around the people I loved.
“There's no Tia here,” I whispered, reassuring myself.
But there were people far worse than her. People who secretly wanted to ridicule me and would try their best to, regardless of my parents’ position.
They must have been looking forward to my return. The perfect Mia finally got some dirt in her.
I always knew that beneath their fake smiles, lied huge hatred for me, but the rumors they were spreading about me, were outrageous.
