I haven’t moved. I haven’t shed a tear. Not a single word has passed my lips. My heart is shattered, smothered in shards. Just a day ago, she was mine. I could call her mine. I could look into her face, kiss her, hold her, lose myself in her warmth. I dreamed of spending an eternity in her arms. I thought—for once—that with revenge taken, I could finally have something good, something real.
