The moment I opened the door, I was assaulted by my mate's alluring scent.

My hand froze on the doorknob, my body was unable to move— I was frozen on the spot.

I didn’t expect my mate to search for me and single me out at school. Lynn wasn’t helping matters either; she was ready to take over my body any second and crash into her mate’s arms.

I inhaled deeply, my heart thumping my chest so loudly you could hear it a hundred yards away.

I heard a gruff voice yell, “Come in,” my feet moved in their own accord. I slowly shuffled into the room, turning around I locked the door behind me.

I remained motionless, facing the door with my back to him. I couldn’t bring myself to face him.

I heard the subtle clearing of his throat, “Rae,” he let out in a whisper.

“Hey, Hey, look at me,” he called out ……
