I always try to be very careful with the abuse triggers, this is about as far as I care to take it. I was going to gloss over what the rebel said, but no matter how I wrote it, I kept coming back to using a stronger way to show Ives' and Kennice's actions were perhaps.. understandable. For those that are familiar with my other works, I come from a household of dysfunction/abuse, and while I have been very lucky to avoid s****l abuse (to my knowledge), it was something we had to be careful of growing up. When you can't even trust your family, who do you trust?
