Isabelle kept her word, and I fought to keep her a secret.
The first day they almost found her out was when she called me for the first time, or called the house. The phone rang and Zuine answered it.
"Hello? Uh, hello...Irven? Can I know who is calling-" I jumped across the living room before another word was said, almost knocking over a lamp in the process. Zuine caught it while tossing the phone in the air from me to grab. I barely kept my balance by grabbing the edge of the end table with my legs while my upper body hung off of it, phone in hand.
All the times after that were much more private.
