Seeing her avoiding himself, Chuck wasn’t anxious. He was still lazily slouching against the car, and said slowly, “Since you know me, you should also know my rules. I never bring a plus one on such occasions.”
Yes, everybody who knew Chuck knew clearly about his rules, not to mention Vichy, who wanted to seek cooperation with him.
Though Chuck was a playboy, he never brought a woman with him at formal parties, and that was no exception.
“Just forget about the rules. Since there’s an opportunity for you to get a business, and you can also annoy your mortal enemy. I don’t think Mr. Parry will miss the chance.”
On finishing speaking, Vichy faintly smiled. Her complexion was pale because of the pain from her lower abdomen, sweat appeared on her forehead, however, nothing could hide her beaut……
