Chapter 10 - The Barracks

Charmaine POV 

I made my way to the third floor and at the top, I started sweeping and dusting every nook and corner of the hallway. It was not an easy task, considering that muddy footprints were everywhere. Are they really walking around with mud in their boots everywhere? 

I rolled my eyes and sighed, this is going to be a long day. It was barely 9 in the morning and I felt like the world was crumbling around me. I took a deep breath and started working as fast as possible. I still didn't know what I would find in the living room, TV room, and game room. 

 On the edge of the third floor, there was a sliding door that opened into a big balcony. I opened it up to air the corridor and stepped outside for a five-minute break. The forest behind the barracks was a beautiful place,……
