Chapter 23

As an LGBT writer, and writing a book about a 25-year-old transsexual woman, I can't help but tell you something that I just found out on Portuguese television. Marina Machete, 25 years old, was crowned Miss Portugal this Thursday and will be Portugal's representative in the Miss Universe 2023 contest, which has the final scheduled for November 18th in San Salvador, El Salvador. Marina Machete is a transsexual woman. As I have among my friends several members of the LGBT community, including a beautiful woman called Silvia, a transsexual woman, I couldn't help but congratulate Marina for being elected the most beautiful woman in Portugal in 2023.
