Chapter 1- The Invitation

Thank you for reading! This story will be told in third person past tense- Mario's POV. This is different for me since I'm used to writing from a female POV, but I think you'll like Mario and how his character develops. This is different book, WAY different than anything I've written before. Let me know what you think! ***There are racial references made (based on things black people experience on a daily basis). This is not meant to be prejudice in any way, just telling a story from a different perspective while giving the character a personal backstory that I feel is relatable. I mean no disrespect to any culture or race, I just like to be diverse and include as much as possible. If you feel anything I've written is misappropriated, please let me know and I will be happy to address it! I just want everyone to be represented. :)
