Hi guys, to answer a few of your questions!! The reason why Alek’s wolf can’t identify Liz as his mate is because Liz for all extents and purposes is not of age yet. She also doesn’t have her wolf so in another wolf’s eyes and senses: Liz is simply too young to be considered as anything yet. He enjoys her smell, finds her attractive but otherwise shows no sign of that usual mate pull. I also let them meet before they’re mates. I wanted to show how they react to each other without the mate bond pulling them together. So whatever emotion, attraction and need they feel for each other is genuine and of their own want. The catch is that Alek is smart and suspects there’s a reason why he’s so drawn to Liz. Without confirmation from his wolf, he thinks that Liz is most possibly his mate.
