THE next day, Adam was surprised when someone nudged his shoulder. He immediately opened his eyes and sat up abruptly when he saw Ava standing at the side of the couch, frowning with her arms crossed.
“Why did you sleep here?” she asked.
“Oh, sorry... I was watching TV and didn't notice that-”
“Liar!” his daughter quickly interjected. “I think you planned to sleep here. Look, you have a blanket, pillows, and-”
"Ava, I brought your dad's blanket and pillow," Ruby's voice interrupted, catching the attention of both Adam and Ava. "I noticed him asleep on the couch, so instead of disturbing him, I just covered him with a blanket," Ruby explained. She then greeted him cheerfully with a kiss on the lips, saying, "Good morning, hubby!" and then turned to their daughter, exclai……
