If only I hadn’t overstayed my stay at my parent’s place, I wouldn’t have been stuck in this situation. I wouldn’t have been lying naked next to the man who wanted to ruin me, holding on to his torso as if he were my lover.
“Do you know how it feels when you’re not next to me, Christie?” whispered Noah into my ear. “It felt as if I lost something vital. I was not able to function effectively. There was just a huge cavity left in my chest which kept on growing with every passing day.”
Though I was not in the position to confess to the same pain that I had undergone upon being thrown out of his life, I wanted to tell him that I felt just as incomplete without him. I also had that widening gap in my chest that made it hard to forget him and move on with my life.
