“Are you sure you don’t want me to go with you?” Zane asks me, taking my hand before pulling me against him and I tell him, I’m sure. He hugs me and we share a kiss before he grabs his car keys and hands them to me, but I tell him I’m going to take a cab.

I have a manual license and even though it allows me to drive an automatic, the only cars I have ever driven are manuals. Zane’s car is an automatic and I’m not sure how to operate an automatic. I hear it's simpler since you don't have to worry about changing gears but I have never driven one. I don’t want to cause problems for him.

He asks me again if I don’t want him to drop me and then come back to pick me up, but I tell him I’ll be fine. I think Zane forgets that he and I weren’t brought up the same. He has……
