He grabbed my neck and enquired in a gruff voice, "If you're such a pure soul, then why aren't you wearing your nuptial chain, Niti?"
I was at a loss of words and didn't respond. He let go of my neck and claimed, "Now that I have pointed out your flaw, you don't want to talk anymore."
As he was about to leave, I looked away and said in a faint voice, "I want to get a divorce and leave." Xander veered back and announced, "You will not leave, Niti. You will bear children for me and serve me until I am complacent. Accordingly, I will see who would accept you after that as a wife?"
Tears gushing down my cheek, I begged. “How can you be so vicious? You said that you loved me on the day of our wedding night and the day before it as well.”
