The next day….
As the red sun slowly rose, Cosette opened her eyes and looked around.
Still unable to see the edge of the sea, Cosette remembered what had happened yesterday.
She had been kidnapped by a strange man, Bruce.
Cosette stood up and saw Bruce standing not far away.
Bruce was wearing a long black trench coat and stood hunched over. As Cosette looked at his back, her heart felt an inexplicable sadness.
Cosette felt distressed for Bruce.
Yet, she had never met Bruce before, so where had this inexplicable sadness come from?
Bruce heard the movement and looked back at Cosette, then turned away.
"Good morning," Cosette said.
"Come and chat with me," Bruce said.
Cosette wasn’t sure if she should go any closer to him.
