Nancy's POV

“Mom, I can't lose this contest. You know how long I've been in love with the supreme Alpha" I said crying.

I was so unhappy because I didn't make it out of the maze and that Elisa girl did. I didn't expect that that maze would be so confusing. I had thought it was the usual maze I enter. Now my mark is low.

"Mom, I can't afford to lose" I cried the most.

My parents had secretly come to visit me when they realized that I failed in the maze round. I have been crying since then.

"Stop crying Nancy, you won't lose," she said to me.

I didn't need the encouragement. Although I didn't know the mark for the last round at the showcase, I knew that Elisa's answer satisfied the judge. My mark that I was so proud of must be really shaking now.
