“Are you okay?” he asked. I could see that he was worried, but I knew it was fake. He was concerned because I wouldn’t be able to donate blood to his wife. “I’m fine. Wipe off that fake worried expression,” I smirked. “I can’t stand seeing it.”
“I’m sorry,” he apologized.
“Alex, I don’t feel well,” Maria said, cutting in. “I feel dizzy.” He ran to her.
“How do you feel, Maria?”
“I think I need more blood, Alex. I still feel weak,” she announced. I looked at her, smiling. I knew what she was up to. She wanted to draw all my blood. We both knew that she was fine.
“Really. Do you need my blood?” I smirked. She looked at me with pity, but I could see the hatred she was trying to hide under it. “Tell me, my queen.”
“Yes. I’m sorry,” she muttered……
