### Author's Note
In this dialogue, I aimed to capture the complexities of family dynamics through the innocent perspective of a child. Veronica, at just five years old, embodies pure love and concern for her mother, reflecting the vulnerability children often feel in difficult situations. The scene contrasts the warmth and safety of a bedtime story with the unsettling reality of adult struggles, like emotional pain and conflict.
Grace, as the mother, represents many parents who strive to shield their children from the harsh realities of life while grappling with their own emotions. Her struggle to maintain a facade of happiness, despite her visible sadness, highlights the often unseen burdens that adults carry. This situation is relatable to many families, where children might sense the emotional turmoil in their parents but may not fully understand it.
Through this narrative, I wanted to illustrate the themes of compassion, resilience, and the importance of connection during challenges.
