Theodore was talking to the old man, while I stood close to my car, pretending to wait for my woods.
Since they were going on a break, I decided to gather a lot of woods that'll last Mom and I until the new year celebration.
But that was just an excuse to leave the plumber's side. I got feverish when I saw him and couldn't look him in the eyes without turning red.
The owner himself made it too much by talking about the way I handled the pipe. His words only got Theodore gazing at me silently.
Feeling the heat, I quickly left to get the woods. But that didn't take my eyes off those two. I was curious to see what Theodore would do next.
"Is he impressed?" I wondered while stealing glances at him. He was still talking and peeked at my direction a few times.
