Chapter 7: Unraveling Jo

Happy New Year's Eve everyone! Wishing everyone a safe and comfortable evening as we ring in the new year! This chapter was difficult for me to write. What would Jo's life have been like if Lennox had not raised her? Why did he adopt her and raise her as his daughter when another family could have done so with much more love and care? Silas and Felix showing her kindness soothes her broken heart but terrifies Jo at the same time, for a very good reason. Lennox is a cruel man. I will be updating this story at least twice a week in the future. I want to post new chapters on Saturdays and Sundays. Because I am off work next week with my kids for their winter break, I may be able to release a few more. I work full-time and am also working on another book for Dreame at the same time as this one.
