His place is my home

Anna's pov.

“Mia!” I shouted her name, and she looked at me.

 But her face was not showing the usual expression. She looked somewhat… different?  Terrified? The look on her face made me suspicious.

I strode towards her. I was curious to see that man's face. But she mumbled something, and that man quickly left his seat and dashed in the opposite direction.

“Mia, what are you doing here, and who was that man?” I questioned, still looking in the direction where he disappeared.

“I… I… I… came here for work,” she stuttered, growing my suspicion.

“And he… he was a… a client,” she stammered again.

I understood if she was here for work. But why was she looking like she was worried that I had found her here?

“What are you doing here?” She asked me.

“One of my projects is at this corner of the city……
