They originally planned to stand by to wait for the fire to extinguish, but they finally returned to the canteen after a little while since it was really hard to bear the foul smell.
Rosa boiled a pot of water and made everyone a cup of instant coffee. They sat there in silence, drinking coffee occasionally. The atmosphere was rather dull.
Suddenly, someone’s stomach sang and broke the silence. They looked at one other, trying to figure out the source of the sound.
“I’m hungry. Let’s get something to eat.” Elvis felt like saying something to end the weird atmosphere.
“All right. Let’s go to cook. I’m too starving and my stomach even sang just now.” Susan got up and explained. Rosa followed her out and went to cook with her together.
Actually, everyone was starving. With all the energy ……
