ABOUT ME

I am a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and am currently striving to become a full-time Fantasy/Science-Fiction writer. I am a father of four and enjoy activities involving the great outdoors. Yes, I must confess I am a dedicated wordsmith. It's in my blood, and finally, I no longer fear critics or rejections of my works. It is OK if some readers don't like a story I write. It just means my work wasn't their cup of tea. I will strive to perfect my writing, searching for those perfect words or phrases. For years, I didn't write and now know this was wrong. To lead a truly fulfilled life, you must be honest with yourself about who you are. Some of my friends and family do not understand my tireless pursuit of creating tales. To get it means you must have it in your blood. So, I will sit down, behind my computer, unlock my imagination and there's no telling where the journey will take me. They say, "Magic is dead." and I say, "No it's not. For when we read a story, we put aside our boring, humdrum lives and escape. Let me take you to different worlds, cultures, times, and show you the meaning of Magic first hand. Just relax, sit back and become one with a tale I have to tell. In doing so, you will share cultural unity as our ancestors have done since the dawn of time." Just recently, I completed Book One: Light of Elliana, of the Epic Fantasy Adventure Series: Of Tears & Darkness. I am currently in the process of writing Book Two: Where Darkness Treads. The series is projected to span three volumes, with a spin-off of one Prequel. I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I've enjoyed writing it. If you like, feel free to pass this along to all your friends. May All Of Your Endeavors Be Fruitful -David C. Flowers.

It had all started with a quest, to find the hallowed sanctuary spoken of within the dreams of five individuals. Aederan, a world of green forests and deep-blue oceans, would soon be under the threat of war, from the forces of darkness. The fate of the world, rests with a girl, a prince, a princess, a swordsman, a Centaur, and seven others. For it was decided, seven friends would accompany the chosen ones and assumed the journey would be lengthy and dangerous. It wasn't until later, before the brave adventurers grasped how much of an understatement those words would be. Despite perilous weather, endless pursuit, and numerous attempts by the enemy to destroy them most of the original adventurers had managed to survive. Berren alone, of the original adventurers had fallen in the attempt. Through the combined efforts of humans, Centaurs, the newly discovered Ayuni, Dreena, and the Chand they had prevailed. Albeit, the price paid by their new allies and friends had been high. Changa pondered for a moment what they had faced and their subsequent actions. The Centaur Wind Walker smiled, as he realized Elliana was providing them with exactly what they needed to complete the quest and prepare for war.
