Alison’s life becomes miserable when her husband dies leaving her with three young children to support and take care of. Having financial difficulties, things turn even for the worse when her youngest daughter Ariel is diagnosed of a severe heart ailment. Ariel has to undergo a very expensive surgery and Alison has no means to get the money for it. Desperate and running out of time, she faces a terrible choice: sign a contract marriage with her cold and powerful boss, Mr. Dre, or lose her daughter forever. As there is no other way out, Alison consents to marry Mr. Dre and the latter does not look at it as anything more than a business transaction. However, when they are together, Alison feels the tension and the attraction that is present between them. The cold walls of the house start to crumble and soon the fake marriage of Mr. Dre and his wife becomes more than what they had initially planned. As if this is not enough, Derick, Mr. Dre’s best friend appears in Alison’s life just when she is beginning to get used to her new life. The character’s charm and the chemistry he has with Alison make her doubt herself and her decisions. “Mr. Dre,” she started speaking in a low tone, her voice quivering, “I have agreed to the contract and Ariel’s operation was successful... but this... this deal... ” She lost her words. That was the first thing she said; “It feels so cold here I didn’t expect it to feel like this.” Not raising his head from the screen, Dre spoke in a cold, business-like tone: >”Alison, this was your decision, you required the money, I provided it to you, This is a business transaction not anything else” She felt disappointed at the tone of his voice which was rather cold and uncaring. She moved nearer, and her tone was becoming pleading. ‘But don’t you feel anything?’ We’re married now, even if it is just on paper.’ I... I thought there would be something more.’ Dre at last raised his eyes and stared at me with the expression of a man who has nothing left to lose. “Something more?”He laughed, bringing his lips into a sneer. ‘You turned this into a matter of money the second you signed the contract, Alison. Don’t mix business with feelings. That’s not how it is.’
