Even in the fluorescent lighting of the girl's bathroom, he looks stunning. How annoying. “Um, this is the girl’s bathroom.” I snap making sure to keep my tone as sharp as broken glass. “You’re trespassing.” “Fuck that, listen to me.” He snarls taking a step towards me. The action should frighten me but frankly, it just excites me. “No. You listen to me.” I take a step towards him, so close there was a hair's width between us. I glared up at him through thick long lashes. “There’s nothing between us, haven’t I made that explicitly clear.” “He’s no good for you.” Neither are you, I want to say, otherwise, you would kiss me. He seems to read my mind yellow gaze flickering to my lips and then back to my eyes. His lips crash against mine and my toes curl in my shoes, I tug him closer. He pushes me back raises me onto the sink and I wrap my legs around his torso. He pulls back only to breathe. Our loud pants fill my ears as I stare hungrily at those sweet sweet lips. “Does that seem like nothing to you?”

Eyes like gems peered from the balcony out into the driveway of the Moore Manor. It seemed the entire town had petitioned to attend the masquerade ball and by the minute hordes of people could be seen entering. For the first time in years the curtains were drawn and light shone out from within the Manor. What soul could resist the temptation of setting foot in the once desolate structure, revived merely by the efforts of a few. “Are the preparations complete?” She asked without turning, she didn’t need to turn to know he was there. He was always there. “Yes, madam.” From her perch the masked girl watched as her extended family entered an air of arrogance about all of them. A delightful smirk slipped onto her lips, “Let's go.” ---- Moore Manor had once been known as the haunted house of Crestview, but now it's doors and blood will stain its walls once again.

“And who said you could leave,” His gruff voice sent a delicious chill up my spine. My breath came in short huffs as he leaned in closer to me using his forearm to pin me and keep the door shut. “Little mate.” He was beautiful in a soft way that I wasn’t familiar with. His cheekbones were high, his jaw angular, his nose straight and unbroken his skin was pale. Silver hair, still damp from the snow, curled around his brow and I itched to run my hands through it. My gaze flickered to his dark hungry eyes and an emotion flashed through them before he growled a low guttural sound coming from the back of his throat. “Well?” I flinched. Coming out of whatever trance I was in I suddenly remembered why I’d been so ready to get as far away from the man in front of me. A fire flourished in my chest and filled my veins. Glaring at him through my long lashes I shoved at his chest harshly, hating his Lycan genes when he didn’t even move an inch. Still, I shoved him again. He rolled his eyes at my effort to get him to budge and, if anything, just moved closer. “I’m leaving,” I growled at him. “Get out of my way.” “No.”
