Generations after generations, the Wolf King would undergo the Mating Ceremony. In which all she-wolves ages 18 to 22 in the Monleiete Kingdom are required to join the event where the Wolf King chooses his Luna Queen. Being the Wolf King, he's stripped of the luxury of being with his true mate since this Mating Ceremony had been passed on by generations. And no one had dared to break nor alter the system that had been going on for decades.
But that's because the one who wanted to break the system wasn't born yet.
So when the time comes that the current Wolf King had a son as a child, that's when everything is about to change. For they wouldn't allow a law that deprives a werewolf of what the Mood Goddess had given them as their mates. Because all Monleitans deserved to have their mates as their Luna Queen, even if it's against the Law of the Wolves.
With this crooked system, Wolf King Maximillian Harlow is set off to break the rules. He won't let any she-wolves take the title of the Luna Queen, not unless it's his true mate.
