Prologue

"Close your eyes..."

"What?" Lisa Summers couldn't help but smile from ear to ear as her boyfriend blindfolds her. He had told her he had a surprise for her, and she was so excited and eager to know what it was.

Peter Macintosh held his girlfriend firmly as he led her to where the surprise he had for her was. She couldn't see after he had blindfolded her, so he led her carefully ensuring she didn't lose her step.

Once Lisa felt the cool breeze of July on her skin, she knew they were now outside the house.

"Are we there yet?" She asked anxiously.

"You're so impatient my darling". Peter said softly into her ear, as he looses the blindfold. His cool voice sending tingles down her spine. His deep sultry voice is one of the things she loved about him. It was soothing and always made her feel safe.

Lisa blinked twice to stable her sight as soon as the blindfold came off, immediately her gaze fell on a brand new White Mercedes Benz designed with red ribbons, and a placard with an inscription which said ‘Let's start our forever journey'. She turned quickly to look at her boyfriend for clarification, and found him on his knees holding out a diamond ring to her.

"Will you do forever with me?" He says softly and Lisa's felt her legs go rubbery. He was asking her to marry him. They've only dated for two years, but it felt like she has known him her whole life. The way he loved and cared for her was beyond humanly possible, and she knew without anyone telling her that he was the only suitable man for her. He was her soulmate and indeed she'll want nothing more than to be with him forever.

”Forever is not long enough". She replied to him with a charming smile on her face, “but let's start from there". He returned the smile as he slid the ring on her finger, then got up on his feet and claimed her lips in a passionate kiss.

“I love you Lisa". He told her, as he goes down to her neck and nibbles it softly.

“I love you too Peter". She replies with a rasp voice, his kisses were getting her hot and wanting.

He looks up at her seeing the desire in her eyes. “How about a ride first". He said gesturing at the new car he had bought for her, making it clear the type of ride he was referring to. She chuckles.

“I'm driving". She said shortly, as she stretched her hand towards him to collect the keys.

“It's only proper, it is your car after all". Peter gives her the keys as they both walk towards the car excitedly.

Forever is immeasurable as well as unpredictable, it could be fifty years, it could be ten years, months, days or even a few hours.

For Lisa Summers and her fiance it was indeed not long enough. As they were returning from the cruise with the new car, they met a fatal accident.

Lisa and Peter were in the car talking and laughing as they planned their future. They were already at the names they'll give their children, when a drunk driver from nowhere came speeding towards them. Lisa tried so much to avoid a collision but it was too late. They were caught unawares. The car of the drunk driver rammed into them, leaving all three unconscious.
