Eliezerims (angel-blooded humans) alongside Warlocks (demon-blooded ones) and Earthbreeds (children of nature) inhabit the lands of Quendere. Differences birthed wars that cost thousands of lives. During those times, tales tell that a knight bargained with the gods and ended the wars between the kingdoms and each of Quendere's races and kinds. For decades, Quenderians lived in their idea of harmony and they have endeavored for it to be so as long as they can.

But without warning, peace's reign has found its end as a prince named Ethan Artem encounters dark forces operating in their midst. The god of sacrifices named Azazel schemes to unleash hordes of demons by opening the gates of hell and rule over the realm of the living. Artem then continues to seek answers and joins a rescue mission together with his brother and some of the best warriors from the five kingdoms of Quendere.

Still, with the will to investigate Azazel's plans and how it is linked to her, he rescues Princess Kirstine Guiseid from the Earthbreeds that held her captive. Having Artem as the only one left to escort the princess to safety, they have the chance to understand each other. For days, they find comfort and intimacy as they journey toward home.

But as he wakes up, Artem finds himself alone in the forest and abandoned by Kirstine. Having only the memory of her and the feeling of love marked on his heart.

Longing for her still, Artem returns to their kingdom, eager to pursue his plan on stopping Azazel from bringing more havoc. The enemy's forces are getting stronger and it is up to him and Quendere's defenders to defeat the god.

Yet he discovers the truth about Kirstine and her role in Azazel's plan of destruction. A fated demise for an end.
