Katerina, or Kat as she preferred to be called was about to turn 21. She is well past the age of betrothal, and her father isn’t happy about it. It’s not her fault that her father has been picky about promising her to anyone, is it? Little does Kat know that her world is about to be turned upside down all because of a letter her father received from the King himself.
King Lyndon sat outside the Queen's bed chambers and waited for the birth of their third child. After discovering that he has another daughter he is displeased and has decided to take matters into his own hands. He sends word to Richard Lovelace II, whose father was his former right hand to come and stay at court. Richard I, always spoke of his granddaughters one of whom he was told had unfailing beauty. Unbeknownst to Lyndon, it is the other Lovelace girl who will turn his head, and quite possibly steal his heart.
