Prologue

Thank you for going on this journey with me. Some of the scenes in this book are based on things that happened to me in real life. It's cathartic writing about them in a fiction sense with a different outcome. I do hope you enjoy each character for what they bring to the story. We meet all kinds of people in our lives, some good, some bad, but each one leaves a fingerprint on our own story. Enjoy bits of my story within this fictional story, dear readers, and may you also make peace with your past and gain hope for your future.
